ELCT<\/span> – ECD<\/span> Focus Areas<\/span>.
\nECD\u2019s<\/span> main duty to ensure spiritual, intellectual and social transformation is articulated through its methodology.
\nIn the strategic plan period 2018 to 2022 ECD<\/span> work will be conducted under the following five (5) thematic areas:
\n1. Mission and Evangelism.<\/span>
\n2. Education.<\/span>
\n3. Planning and Investment.<\/span>
\n4. Finance and Administration.<\/span>
\n5. Gender and Social Services<\/span>.
\nELCT \u2013 ECD<\/span> Priority Issues from the Situational Analysis.<\/span>
\nAfter careful scrutiny of the ECD<\/span> operating environment covering SWOT, PESTEL and Stakeholder analysis, the following issues emerged as priority concerns which should be considered during the planning process and implementation of the 2018 – 2022 strategic plan:
\n\u2022 Decreasing number of Church members and income.<\/span>
\n\u2022 Creating good work relations with Government and preaching proper gospel.<\/span>
\n\u2022 Bureaucracy in decision making.<\/span>
\n\u2022 Embracing change and innovation.<\/span>
\n\u2022 Improve networking for resources mobilization.<\/span>
\n\u2022 Professionalism and advanced technology.<\/span>
\n\u2022 Managing risks by being more innovative and creative.<\/span>
\n\u2022 Under-utilization of technology.<\/span>
\n\u2022 Strengthening proper teaching of unchanged Word of God in the changing world.<\/span>
\n\u2022 Strengthening cell churches.<\/span>
\n\u2022 Sense of ownership and proper management of resources.<\/span>
\n\u2022 Staff capacity building.<\/span>
